The fourth Molten Plains comes in the form of an improvisation lottery!
From a wide scope of scenes and contexts, thirteen musicians and a dancer names will be drawn from a hat to perform as four impromptu ensembles.
• Reivin Alexandria_ multimedia artist and psychic ritual performer.
• Angel Drake_ guitarist, provocateur; calling the divine feminine to channel ancestor’s rage.
• Miguel Espinel_ 1/2 Monte Espina, 1/2 TWINO, drummer in Oil Spill and Bog. Nahr Alhumam.
• Matthew Frerck_ erudite free double-bass.
• Louise Fristensky_ composer, sound sculpture, and systems artist.
• Sarah Gamblin_ dancer and proffesor at Texas Woman’s University.
• Mattie_ a mirror, an oracle of the SOL. Lyrical self-inquiry, experimental instrumentation, and performance art.
• Michael Meadows_free improvisation/noise guitarist. Philosophical Gun Club.
• Chad Mossholder_ professional sound designer and electronic music composer.
• Lo Ramirez_ Originally from The Rio Grande Valley in South Texas, she weaves her culture and love for magik.
• Kory Reeder_ composer and performer whose music investigates ideas of objectivity, place, immediacy. Sawyer Editions.
• Katie Reese_ black outfit, thin skin, candy and the suckers and bog. Cindy’s Power Shower.
• Christopher Robinson_ multi-instrumentalist in harsh noise and ambient music. VVVLA, Reading Music, Big Hole.
• Conner Simmons_ composer, songwriter, double bassist, and media artist.
Plus Aaron Gonzalez and Sarah Ruth performing some short Fluxus interludes between groups
